it's 38 degrees outside today!

we finally get a break cos we've done all we can for now and are waiting for our colleague to finish smtg before we can continue so here are some random pictures from the weekend:

ron's parents came to visit and treated us to dinner which we ended with this dessert - it's like goreng pisang covered in malt candy and when you pick it up it leaves behind long sticky caramel threads so you have to dip it quickly in water to break the threads. had a lot of fun with this and it tasted good too :)

hey look! it's ikea!! and it's almost EXACTLY the same as singapore's. we caught the last day of the sale but didn't find any great bargains. so we just had hotdogs and ice-cream and some cappuccino with daim! will head back again for meatballs (S$3!!) another day!

apparently it's the law that if it hits 40deg outside they have to declare it a holiday. so the temp outside never goes beyond '39.9'. bah.
