so they whipped out a blank book and magically called up a map of the area and decided to follow one of the yellow lines cos it was a pretty colour.
but i guess the mapmaker thought that yellow was a pretty colour too cos it turned out to be a really loooooooong line. and there was more than one yelllow line! here, there, everywhere! even worse, it seemed to lead along towards the path where the Big Bad Mas Selamat was heard to roam and since the Gumps weren't inclined to go Mas Selamat hunting, although they could have done with the reward money, they decided to toss their map aside and follow all the signs which said "City".
"Ok!" said the D and so off went the two spunky Gumps.
They met at the forested area in the north and thought they'd take a little stroll in the southernly direction. (They figured there was no point going north because the walk would end pretty fast and they might fall off the edge of the island into the murky water and immediately be poisoned to death.)

[Truth be told, it was actually the shortest and easiest word for the gumps to remember and less likely to cause confusion unlike other destinations such as l-i-m-c-h-u-k-a-n-g, p-h-u-a-c-h-u-k-a-n-g, c-h-o-a-c-h-u-k-a-n-g...]
Along the way they went past a nice big restaurant and decided to stop for lunch! D was overjoyed because they specialised in her favourite food while A turned a bit green from looking at the menu and decided to skip lunch.
After lunch, the ever alert D, who was not suffering from post-lunch-sleepyritis, noticed that they were being STALKED!
To make doubly sure that they weren't being followed any longer, they crossed a little bridge which Bus-ybody 961 was too big and heavy for
and followed a hidden secret trail through the woods.
Relieved to have escaped, and exhausted from all the panic and excitement, the Gumps lay down on a nice big wooden hammock and took a little midday siesta.
every now and again their stalker would slip up and D would see his large, dark shadow... finally they turned around at the right time and caught the stalker in action! It was Bus-ybody 961! He was tall and big and ran much faster on his four legs than the two Gumps so they quickly hopped over the fence and ran onto the railway track where Bus-ybody 961 could not follow them.

Waking up all groggy from their nap, the Gumps dived into a little river and caught a few fish for tea. All refreshed, they continued on their walk.
Quite by chance, the smart little Gumps made an exciting discovery! They chanced upon a huge new spaceship from Uranus!
The two devious Gumps then marched up to the entrance of the spaceship and demanded to see their leader! Otherwise, the D would single-handedly invade their spaceship and annihilate their entire colony (while A would sit on the wall, drink her teh-bing and cheer her on). Seeing how strong and fearless the D was, the alien leader quickly scurried out and meekly squiked out a "Wad'yo want from us??"
Feeling it was time for a spot of shopping, they popped into the salvation army thrift store and rummaged around for a bit but emerged empty-handed and went for afternoon tea at the rail mall instead.
Finally after seeing nothing but grass and trees and railway tracks for a long time, they emerged in civilisation! They had finally reached a little village called Holland.
Again there was a sign to the City which they could follow.
So because they were running (walking) late, they decided to teleport themselves through the town to the other end and then continue walking again.
As they completed the last stretch of their walk... guess who they saw again????
To their disappointment, the two Gumps discovered that what lay at the other end of the island was simply.... one big durian. :(

A word appeared above the alien leader's head - "Phew!" and he snapped his fingers producing a little silver "Friends of the Aliens" membership card which entitled the Gumps to a free night's stay any time they produced the card.
Satisfied, the Gumps moved on. Once again looking for their "City" sign.

So they quickly abandoned their original plan and decided to go on from KAP to clementi instead since they seemed to be making good time anyway.

(yes, you guessed it... 961! taunting us the whole way. *nah nah ni boo boo you wanted to get from woodlands to here? why didn't you just follow me!hehehe*)

But nonetheless, it had been a good day :)

thank God we're on the rednano where 'stroll across' can be achieved in one day. who knows what you'd be up to in the states for 2 months...walking perhaps?enjoy your trip though!we WILL forget you.
